Five years ago the Faire app launched, empowering entrepreneurs around the world to chase their dreams via their mobile devices. At the time, we decided to build a fully native app to provide a well-crafted user experience. Due to having an Android and iOS app, our mobile team only has 25% the bandwidth of our web team and has been unable to keep pace. 2 years ago we kicked off a rearchitecture of our app to simplify development and over the last year we have added Kotlin Multiplatform to our app. This talk will discuss the process, tools, challenges and progress we have made on our journey to a cross platform MVVM application.
